M. Thillinadan was appointed as Deputy Editor of Berita Harian (BH), effective 1 January 2023.
Thilinadan, 59, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences (specialization in Creative and Descriptive Writing) from the University of Malaya in 1987 and joined Berita Harian as an intern the same year, before being absorbed as a permanent staff member in 1990.
In December 1995, he was appointed as Penang Bureau Chief and returned to the NSTP headquarters at Balai Berita Bangsar in 1999 as Assistant News Editor. With over 30 years of experience in journalism, Thillinadan has held many editorial positions at BH, including as News Editor, Senior News Editor, and Associate Editor, before being promoted to Convergence Executive Editor, NSTP in December 2017 and subsequently as Executive Editor (Content and Digital) on 1 February 2019.
